Opening of In the Blink of an Eye by Lorena Ruiz Pellicero
In the Blink of an Eye is a video installation that transforms the exhibition space into an immersive journey through the concept of blinking and the fragility of our vision.
In a time before code, the bit, and the algorithm, there already existed a rhythmic and binary way of processing the world: the blink. This minimal and constant physiological gesture constitutes the most elemental unit of our relationship with the image. In that interval, the brain reorganizes, completes, erases, and rewrites what it sees: it composes vision. To blink is to remember that we are still body, and not only interface.
This exhibition is made possible with the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Sala Razzmatazz @razzmatazzclubs. Music by ETHR @its_ethr
