Insania - performance

Insania opts for what is broken, the crack that dwells in the (un)conscious. It is rupture, the line that unites reality with the imagination. It is an intimate, profound, heart-wrenching, violent, sweet and delicate process. Insania is the human.

The installation exists in a constant state of mutation. The machine functions with a body that interferes with it by using light projecting devices. The organically moving light projects bright rays that generate a symphony of noise through the photocell.

The body presents itself to the machine from extimacy, playing, rejoicing, crying, laughing and eroticising by activating and deactivating the devices through (in)human motion. This link creates its own language, monstrous communication that involves noises and flashes between the mechanised humanity in the body and the humanity applied to the machine. Insania appears as the driving force for constructing a ritual that seeks to illuminate the seemingly invisible recesses of the mind.
