Collective Self-publishing day with Mitmaq_Ediciones Braiding memories
We invite you to participate in a self-publishing day that we will hold at the Fundació Suñol on Saturday, May 25, and which will be led by the visual artist Boris Mercado.
This activity aims to propose various initiatives to connect knowledge and practices from memory, create collective stories and produce a collective publication with its own voice.
We will build connections that guide us toward creating stories that reflect our own visual sensibilities and challenge stereotypes and prejudices, thus allowing us to become our own storytellers.
We are motivated by the daily use of images, we believe that photographs are hidden in files, family albums, telephones, etc., that make up a personal memory and that have not yet been revealed.
This initiative seeks to create a space where we can share these images and experiences, where we can critically analyze the changes we experience, and experience our city and our environment. We want to continue amplifying our voices, leaving a collective publication as a visual testimony.
