The Aperitif with… nyamnyam and Joana Hurtado

Houses Without Doors. Against Domestic Realism is an exhibition curated by Joana Hurtado that questions the home as a place of refuge, presenting it instead as a space of conflict and imagination. The exhibition maps out different realities that examine the multiple dimensions of care work—so often invisible or confined within the collective imagination—as well as forms of resistance to what we now call “domestic realism.”

Through the work of artists and writers, Joana Hurtado not only brings visibility to historical issues that persist today—if not intact, then largely unquestioned—but also opens up cracks through which to rethink how we want to live.

On Saturday, the final parallel activity of the exhibition will take place. At 12 p.m. there will be a guided tour led by the curator, and at 1 p.m. we invite you to a performative action involving the knives on display, accompanied by a deconstructed aperitif and a dish cooked in situ.

Si vols, puc ajustar el to (més acadèmic, més divulgatiu, més poètic) o adaptar-lo per a un dossier de premsa o web.
