Daisies

In the framework of Maria Freire’s exhibition From Blood to Fire, on Wednesday 2 July at 19:00 h. we screen Daisies (Sedmikrásky, 1966), one of the most iconic films of the Czechoslovak new wave, directed by Věra Chytilová, at the gallery.

The two protagonists – Marie and Marie – between wild pranks, banquets and chaos, dismantle social conventions, gender norms and power structures. A vibrant, radical and visually explosive feminist satire. Screening of the restored 4K version VOSE.
