Words fail. Editing as a performative practice
It often comes to publication of what has already happened, what has already been ‘assaged’ and presented. If we understand publication as “publicising” from a broad place and in continuous and present time, we can incorporate the concept of essay into the publishing practices themselves by experimenting beyond the book as a closed product. We propose various ways of dealing with performance and editorial practice to generate hybrid and changing proposals.
‘The words fail’ is a free cycle dedicated to editing as a performative practice where the work of three projects on horseback from these two fields is presented during a day where lunch is included. This year’s new edition will take place on 23 September, 25 November and 16 December 12 to 17h in colab with La Escocesa, the Sala d’Art Jove, La Caldera and Cultural Rizoma.
The programme for this third day has the participation of La Escocesa, who will present its editorial line, the opening of Esther Rodríguez-Barbero’s ‘Electromagnetic waves’ and the Bilal Dídac P. Lagarriga’s ‘Touba notes’ project.
If you stay for lunch, book table here. And for more information visit the cycle website: https://nyamnyam.net/leswordsfallen/.
