LILI MOLINA i ANNA CLIMENT - cryless.def
Fifteen years ago, a little girl drew a magical world while her father recorded the moment. “Tell me about your picture” he said. “It was a big and happy country,” began the girl. Now, that little girl is a twenty-three year old woman still dressing up as a princess, trapped in nostalgia for her childhood. She relives her memories to avoid the reality of the present, even though her imagination has tinkered with those memories until they’re almost gone. She’s obsessed with the thought that nothing stops existing until it’s forgotten.
This performance piece invites us into a space where reality and fantasy intertwine, where memories are fragile, altered and yet powerful. It is a piece about loss, mourning and the incapacity to let go. A creation based on physical and visual work in constant coexistence with other performance languages: set design, lighting and soundscape. The physical aspect hand in hand with the visuals, creation as part of the body: the body in relation to the space it inhabits.
They are an artistic duo formed by Anna Climent and Lili Molina Martínez. Anna, specialised in dance and physical theatre, and Lili, in directing and dramaturgy, work together with a creative team consisting of Cesc Colomines (set design), Sílvia Valls (lighting), Bet de Nin (sound design), Alba Semper (costume design), and Sara Quinonero (assistant direction and stage management). This team supports the piece throughout, contributing a presence that becomes visible and plays an active role on stage.
