MACHINE CINEMA 2

Machine Cinema 2 is a video series curated by Pau Waelder x Niio.art that, in its second edition in the Part Alta —now based at the Antic Ajuntament— explores how artists construct audiovisual narratives using digital tools. The works combine 3D animation, video art, and production with artificial intelligence software with the language of cinema and documentary.

Over the course of five weeks, eight works are presented reflecting on nature and landscape in a context shaped by digital technologies and the environmental crisis. Each week, two pieces address issues such as apocalyptic landscapes, the redefinition of home, the possible existence of non-human life forms, and the need to rethink our relationship with nature. In the final week, the works are reorganized according to their production techniques, creating a dialogue between the languages of video art and algorithmic creation.
