OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS UNDER 35
Exhibition — June / July 2026

1. Call description

Espai Souvenir invites artists under 35 years with links to the local context to submit exhibition proposals to develop an exhibition that will take place between June and July 2026.
The selected proposal will be part of the annual program of the space and will be presented in dialogue with the context of ArtNou 2026.

The project will receive curatorial guidance, technical support and communication, as well as an artist fee for the selected participant.

2. Objective

To support emerging practices that work from critical or experimental perspectives around contemporary conditions of production and representation.
Projects proposing critical viewpoints, experimental methodologies, or reflections on contemporary visual production will be prioritized.

3. Timeline

• Submission deadline: December 12, 2025

• Results announcement: late December 2025

• Exhibition: between June and mid-July 2026

4. Eligibility

Open to artists under 35 with links to the local context .
All formats are welcome: installation, photography, video, drawing, sculpture, sound, intervention, or others.

5. Required documents

Send a single PDF (max. 10 pages, 15 MB) including:

1. Project description (max. 2 pages)

2. Images or visual documentation (up to 8)

3. Technical sheet and basic installation requirements

4. Short CV or bio (max. 1 page)

5. Date of birth (mandatory)

6. Proof of residence in Barcelona (mandatory)

7. Conditions and selection

The exhibition will take place at Espai Souvenir (Barcelona) between mid-June and mid-July 2026.
Espai Souvenir provides curatorial guidance, basic technical support, communication, and project documentation, along with an artist fee for the selected participant.

Production, transport, and insurance costs will be covered by the participant unless otherwise agreed.
Image rights may be used for communication and archival purposes, always crediting the artist.

The selection will be made by a committee composed of Espai Souvenir members.
The committee reserves the right to declare the call void if no proposal meets the required standards.

• Conceptual and formal coherence

• Clarity and research quality

• Relation to the space and local context

• Technical and budget feasibility

• Critical or experimental contribution

9. Notification

Results will be communicated by email and published on Espai Souvenir’s digital platforms in January 2026.
