ORDER TO DISORDER

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming solo exhibition of Carsten Beck at Escat Gallery Barcelona, opening on January 22, 2025. Join us as we celebrate Beck’s innovative artistry in a showcase that promises to captivate and inspire.

For me, chaos is not something to fear but something to embrace. It is the raw, disordered energy that surrounds us, and from that mess, something beautiful can emerge. As an artist, I have always been fascinated by how geometry and photography can help us make sense of this chaos—transforming the unpredictable and the random into something structured, meaningful, and visually compelling.

Geometry, with its perfect lines and shapes, serves as an anchor. It brings order to disorder, creating a framework through which the chaos of the world can be understood. Whether I’m working with sharp angles, curves, or patterns, geometry allows me to organize space, navigate confusion, and find clarity. It feels like discovering a map to guide me through an otherwise chaotic landscape.

In my work, I strive to capture that fleeting moment when chaos begins to find its shape, its order. There is a unique beauty in the transition between the two, and it’s this tension that fascinates me—how something seemingly chaotic, when viewed through the lens of geometry, can transform into something structured and intentional.

*Perspective from Chaos* is my way of demonstrating how we can uncover order within life’s messiness. Chaos is not merely disorder—it is a dynamic, living force that, when explored through geometry and photography, reveals hidden structures, underlying patterns, and profound truths. It is an opportunity to step back and view the world from a new vantage point—one where chaos is not overwhelming but becomes a source of inspiration.
