“Out of Sync”: Aurélien Potier's Exhibition
On October 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the frame of Xarxaprod’s Open Doors, we will open the exhibition “Out of Sync” by resident artist Aurélien Potier.
Aurélien Potier creates environments in which materials become carriers of physical and affective tensions.
Oscillating between erosion and resurgence, his works operate as breaches, where instability and impermanence become both method and condition.
After two months of residency at Homesession, the installation Out of Sync reveals the work carried out. In addition to materials such as wax, resin, or silver, on this occasion Potier primarily works with cement, associated with construction and rigid forms, in direct dialogue with textiles, which evoke home, affection, and softness, giving rise to deconstructed or fragile structures that emphasize their own fragility.
The confrontation of opposing movements —dismantling and emergence— — traces the contours of paradoxical spaces, where contradictions become a driving force and a way of inhabiting zones of fracture.
