Gallery painters 1877-1950
This exhibition is part of an initiative that Sala Parés revived in 2017 on the occasion of its 140th anniversary and is part of the ‘Memory’ concept. This was born with the aim of highlighting the origins of the gallery and the historical artists who were linked to it, reclaiming them and/or making them known, as well as studying them through research and exhibition projects at the service of illustrating different episodes in its trajectory and, in general, in the history of art.
On this occasion, the chronological spectrum starts from the founding date of Sala Parés as an art gallery (1877) and continues until 1950. The exhibition is made up of a selection of works for sale from the gallery’s own collection as well as from important private collections.
