RAW. Christina Gschwantner

The title RAW—meaning “raw,” “pure,” and “unprocessed” in English—perfectly captures the essence of Christina Gschwantner’s work. Her practice establishes a dialogue between Art Informel and Minimal Art, where gestural and structural elements coexist in a tense and poetic balance.

Gschwantner’s compositions emerge from the depths of consciousness, revealing a reality stripped of artifice, in its most direct and authentic form. This aesthetic rawness manifests in paintings that combine expressive spontaneity with formal rigor, unveiling a matrix-like structure where each element asserts its place, generating a living and ever-changing visual flow.

RAW invites the viewer to confront the tension between the visceral and the ordered, the instinctive and the deliberate, in an aesthetic experience that is both emotional and contemplative. The exhibition proposes immersion in the poetics of the essential, in that raw vibration that gives life and meaning to Gschwantner’s work.
