Realidades Inventadas. Pablo Arrázola
Pigment Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of our new exhibition, “Invented Realities,” by Colombian artist Pablo Arrázola:
“The maturity of man is to have rediscovered the seriousness with which he played as a child.” – Nietzsche
In his new series, Pablo Arrázola revisits childhood as a realm of freedom, imagination, and the breaking of boundaries. Through delicate and precise drawings, the artist depicts children dressed as superheroes, engaged in symbolic games that reveal a genuine capacity to transform reality.
These characters don’t fight villains or save cities; their power lies in the ability to play, to explore without fear, and to wholeheartedly embrace other roles. In contrast to the rigid and inhibited adult world, Arrázola’s children embody a pure moment of authenticity, where the limits imposed by logic, norms, or fear do not yet exist.
“Invented Realities” is a tribute to that silent audacity of childhood, to its transformative power and to the possibility of imagining different worlds.
