Misteri d'una forma. Jordi Alcaraz

Alzueta Gallery presents Misteri d’una forma, an exhibition by Jordi Alcaraz at its Sèneca space in Barcelona, bringing together 14 previously unseen works. The exhibition coincides with the presentation of his work at The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse in Miami, marking a particularly significant moment in the artist’s international career.

Considered one of the most distinctive voices in the contemporary Catalan art scene, Jordi Alcaraz has developed a unique visual language at the intersection of painting, sculpture and drawing. He works with materials such as glass, methacrylate, mirrors, stone, ink, pigment and books, which he perforates, penetrates, displaces or alters to create works in which the visible is never entirely stable. Something emerges while something else disappears. A line can become a space; a hole, an image; a reflection, matter. Acting as a true visual alchemist, Alcaraz transforms materials to lead the viewer’s gaze beyond what is physically present.
