The Brazilian artist will occupy the main space of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion with indigenous Brazilian plants, in dialogue with local vegetation. Thus establishes a symbiosis between those that represent the characteristics and history of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion and the essential concepts of Brazilian Modernity, of which it takes as references Oscar Niemeyer, Pietro Maria Bardi and Rona Bo Bardi, in addition to Bardi. Marx, for whom the native Brazilian nature played a fundamental role. This platform serves Caio Reisewitz to address urgent issues in Brazil, such as the destruction of the Amazon, the dismantling of public apparatus designed to protect and value the environment, as well as cultural erasure and genocide of native peoples.
On 1 October, at 7:00 p.m., a conversation will take place in the Pavilion between Caio Reisewitz, Claudia Segura, urban architect recognized for her focus on sustainable design and urban planning, and Isabella Lenzi, curator and contemporary art researcher.
