T-10 Project. Zarya Austin-Fell
Zarya Austin-Fell (b. 1996) is an artist based between Madrid, Lisbon, and London. Her painting practice examines the domestic landscape as a space where the ordinary and the imaginary coexist. She investigates the accumulation of memory, emotional weight, and symbolism in the spaces we inhabit and in everyday objects. Through slight, surreal interventions—shifts in scale, distorted perspective—familiar settings are reconfigured to reveal their psychological depth, resulting in compositions that are at once childlike and dreamlike.
In this series, Austin-Fell presents ten compositions recalled from both memories and dreams, each painting a small homage to the subtle aspects that connect us to a space. As Bachelard wrote: “For our house is our corner of the world. As has often been said, it is our first universe, a real cosmos, in every sense of the word”.
