Tramuntana, Martí Madaula
Martí Madaula works across video, installation, and publishing. In a remote area of northern Spain, the wind has a name: Tramuntana. It takes what it wants—clothes, trees, boats… even the people who inhabit its landscape, used to living under the constant threat of being swept away by its force.
Filmed in the surroundings of Colera, where Madaula has spent many summers, this video stems from the desire to capture the invisible: a fierce and persistent wind that shapes both the landscape and the stories shared among its inhabitants.
