Un Village et son Double, a conversation with Dominique Perrault and Joan Busquets

On the occasion of the presentation of the book “Un Village et son Double” by Dominique Perrault, the Debates program at the Pavilion hosts a conversation between Perrault and Joan Busquets, the architect and urban planner, both with extensive experience in designing Olympic villages moderated by Anna Ramos, director of the Fundació Mies van der Rohe. During this conversation, the speakers will reflect on the broader implications of such large-scale urban projects, examining the cultural and social significance of Olympic Villages in recent history and the lasting impact they leave on the cities they inhabit.

Dominique Perrault will also share insights from his latest book, A Village and Its Double (Actar Publishers, 2024), A book that explores the vision of the renowned French architect Dominique Perrault, who designed a village, in Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, at the intersection of concerns such as heritage, site reversibility, and the relationship with the existing territory.”
