Vora de riu

On Saturday 14 June at 12 noon we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the installation Vora de riu, a very early work by Isabel Banal i Xifré. This work was presented on 14 June 1995 in her first solo exhibition at the Àngels de la Mota Gallery, on Carrer Goya in Barcelona. It is an honour to show this installation again now at Chiquita Room, in a kind of re-enactment of that debut.

Some of the most significant elements of Isabel’s work are already present in Vora de riu and have remained a constant, which gives validity and total coherence to her long career. The installation can only be visited for three days and, to take advantage of this brief occasion, on Tuesday 17 June at 7 p.m., Isabel will talk with Àngels de la Mota and Laura González Palacios, director of Chiquita Room, to celebrate the tribute.
