Waves. Lautaro Reyes

This piece provokes a displacement in the image of the body, in the experience it contains. From a constant drive for transformation, the performer goes through his or her political identity and, through movement, opens up the possibility of reconstructing themselves into another identity. In Wave, Lautaro also discusses the significance of his two geographical and emotional worlds: In Chile I became a political person, here, in Europe, I became an adult. These two places are two poles that have remained separate, and it is time for them to collide. Feeling political, thinking and acting artistically.

Lautaro Reyes Sáez is a choreographer and performer who has studied extensively at a variety of Latin-American schools and worked with a broad range of choreographers and companies across Europe. In 2012, he developed his own scenographic project, Camaralucida, with the focus on seeking and developing mechanisms that alter the choreographic perception. As a choreographer he has received several awards and is currently an associate artist at the Graner creative factory.
