ZARZAR by SAHATSA JAUREGI @Spiritvessel, Espinavessa

ZARZAR is a project by Sahatsa Jauregi, developed in her production residency for almost a year, and which materialized this summer in Spiritvessel, Espinavessa, Alt Empordà.

ZARZAR explores the metallurgical tradition of the territorial context of Spiritvessel in its intersection with the biographies of the town’s blacksmiths, the house that hosts the project, and the artist herself. In this environment and always in a close relationship with the material, Sahatsa works on the act of naming, language as a form and the impact of incorporating nature as a reference.
