Artivisme tèxtil
We invite you to blur borders, expand the imposed frameworks and imagine together the hospitality we deserve as migrant women. We invite you to share a day of Textile Artivism with Sindihogar, redefining embroidery as an act of resistance, denunciation and complicity.
You don’t need to know how to embroider, we will exchange knowledge respecting each other’s skills, because we understand our textile artivism as a pedagogy of care, as a space that promotes dialogue and creativity in a protected space.
During the workshop we will see some historical references of protest embroidery and we will work on notions of textile narrative, learning basic stitches and embroidered calligraphy, the meaning of colour, composition and design to accompany your own creation.
