Calling all crochet enthusiasts! Join Manifesta 15 participants Jin Choi and Thomas Shine in crafting “Urchins”, a unique iron and crocheted rope structure inspired by the skeleton of sea urchins.

Paying homage to Barcelona’s textile and fishing heritage, “Urchins” celebrates women’s resilience and prompts reflection on our connection to the sea.

With sessions throughout June and July organised in Barcelona, we invite you to share your skills and help create the installation that will be shown at The Three Chimneys from the 8th of September, as a part of the Manifesta 15 programme!

The first session will take place on Saturday the 15th of June from 11.30 to 13.30 at Espai Cultural Font de la Mina in Sant Adrià de Besòs, C/ Ponent, 21-25. All skill levels welcome!
