barcelona dibuixa 2026 the language of play
Play has the power to soften structures, change the rules, cheat, create worlds, and stretch time. What if a subtle murmur had gone unnoticed? What dwells in the roll of the dice? Or in the collapse of a house of cards? What do the Parcheesi pieces talk about? A speculative language that might, perhaps, open up new, different, and unexpected perspectives for us.
As part of Barcelona Dibuixa, Paula Vicente Puiggròs, a resident artist at La Escocesa, invites us to this workshop where we will explore drawings of play through the traces and movements of toys and create collective banners to reclaim the language of play together.
