Beautiful objectives of accumulation

Adrià Gamero Casellas

From 17 February to 1 March 2026
At La Capella, Espai Oficina

Opening: Tuesday, February 17 at 6 pm

In a society obsessed with acceleration and automation, drawing a flower pixel by pixel becomes an ethical and political stance. Slow time is resistance. Still life and landscape are transformed into testing grounds where visual materials are deployed, fragmented and recomposed, placing emphasis on how representations are constructed and almost forgetting the represented motif.

Through drawing —points, filaments, negatives, traces, perforations— Gamero Casellas slows down the production and consumption of images, opening a space for observation in which layers, temporalities and procedures are laid bare.

Beautiful objectives of accumulation, by Adrià Gamero Casellas, is part of EART’s Dissemination Programme, aimed at resident artists. The programme gives visibility to their work while generating spaces for critical thought, experimentation and professional exchange.

This project inaugurates the cycle of collaborations between EART, Centre for Mediation, Education and Contemporary Art, and Concèntric: La Capella.

Adrià Gamero Casellas’s work revolves around images and their manipulation, allowing manual processes and the technical characteristics of each material to emerge. Landscape and its vegetal elements appear as a constant throughout his practice, fostering a contemplative and detailed way of looking. He has exhibited in venues such as the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, the Museu Comarcal de la Garrotxa, the Casa de Cultura de Girona, Sala Parés, the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and the Museum of Art of Tsukuba, among others.
