Cinematica

Cinematica is an archaeological piece that speculates around the gestures of tools or activities that we can no longer remember or perhaps do not yet exist. It is a performative installation focused on the genealogy of movement(s) from perspectives that incorporate choreographic, spatial, musical, relational, social, and supernatural elements.

Cinematica is also ‘a remarkable synthesis of the movements of work and daily life,’ a theory developed by Raymond Duncan, brother of the dancer Isadora Duncan, at the beginning of the 20th century. From a critical and non-epistemological approach, a long-term research process has been developed to re-signify this legacy.

Cinematica is an ‘intermedia’ space between audience and performers, where the performative installation takes shape through dance, speculative fiction, poetry, and live music.
