Deep Forest. Alberto Fernández Hurtado
Deep Forest explores the forest as a metaphor for the inner realm. Through animal figures charged with symbolic resonance, the series investigates impulses, emotional states and processes of transformation that belong to a deep and shared dimension of human experience.
The works inhabit an ambiguous space between the conscious and the unconscious, where the intimate also becomes a reflection of something collective and universal.
The series unfolds through a painterly approach characterised by a strong material presence and an enveloping atmosphere, in which glazes, transparencies and spontaneous gestures engage in dialogue with a precise compositional structure.
The image gradually emerges from the tension between chance and control, allowing the pictorial matter to retain the traces of the process and actively contribute to the emotional construction of the work.
The aim is to create harmonious balances between chaos (chance) and order (structure), in keeping with a way of life that seeks to extend this principle to every sphere of existence.
