Wednesday of sound and body / KONG

Africa Moment presents a performative intervention inspired by the choreographic work KONG, the new stage work by the choreographer Oulouy. A piece in which the renowned Ivorian dancer Ordinateur embodies the figure of the silverback gorilla as a satire of the bestiality of the Western colonial gaze imposed on black African bodies. A proposal where the image and the word take force with which Oulouy reflects on the state, challenges and urgencies of the continent, interweaving humour, sensitivity and a masterful choreographic display.
