El jabón, etc

This exhibition brings together 16 artists around a simple yet endlessly evocative object: soap. Everyday and personal, it becomes a meeting point for exploring questions related to the body, matter, hygiene, care, desire, transformation and the rituals of daily life. Presented simultaneously at Chiquita Room’s two venues, Barcelona and Brussels, the show establishes a dialogue between the two spaces and reveals a shared affinity among a diverse group of artists. Through different languages, the works push beyond the idea of soap, transforming it into artistic material, symbol, memory and an object of reflection.
