[Zielinsky Barcelona is pleased to present El lenguaje de las piedras (The Language of Stones), the first solo exhibition in Barcelona by Denise Milan (1954, São Paulo, Brazil). Over more than forty years of artistic production, Milan has developed a body of work centered on the mineral world. For the artist, stones become a microcosm of nature. Her practice is rooted in the research and attentive listening to the lithic world: quartz, basalt, pyrite, sodalite, and amethyst emerge in sculptural constellations, drawings, and installations.]
