El viatge dels arquitectes, "el món a la punta del llapis i el pinzell"

The drawing has historically been a fundamental tool in the education and practice of architecture. From the travel notebooks of the architects of the Grand Tour to contemporary sketches made in situ, drawing has allowed places to be observed, understood, and interpreted beyond the photographic gaze. This tradition—often relegated today by digital tools—constitutes a cultural and pedagogical legacy of great value that deserves to be revisited and shared.

In a context dominated by the immediacy of digital imagery, an exhibition of architects’ travel drawings reclaims the slow time of observation, the direct experience of place, and the capacity for critical synthesis that hand drawing provides. The exhibition responds to the need to recover this practice as a tool for knowledge, cultural transmission, and artistic expression, both for professionals and for the general public.
