En defensa del fervor, Mostra col·lectiva de fotollibres
10a edició del Festival Panoràmic
Two hundred years after the first photograph, image-making technologies and processes have changed radically. Chemical processes have been replaced by digital sensors, and photographs now circulate constantly and instantaneously. Despite this transformation, one fundamental need remains: to look. En defensa del fervor brings together a selection of photobooks that explore photography’s ability to observe and question everyday reality.
Rather than focusing on major events, the authors turn their gaze towards people, places and experiences close at hand. The works reveal the complexity, fragility and beauty that can exist in the ordinary. They do not seek to offer definitive answers or fixed interpretations, but instead use sequences, associations and visual intuitions to generate open readings. Each photobook thus proposes an experience in which the viewer participates in the construction of meaning. Within the framework of the bicentenary of photography, En defensa del fervor highlights both the evolution of the medium and the persistence of an essential impulse: to look at the world and rediscover it through images.
