Entre dos punts. Cristina Cebrecos, Teresa Camacho
A dialogue between Cristina Cebrecos and Teresa Camacho, in which, after collectively participating in “EXPERIMENTO 003” at casa espacio, they come together once again to create a pictorial collaboration where their perspectives intertwine, forming an artistic bond built through the space that separates them. Two processes that have been shared at a distance. 508 km apart, to be precise. Distorting distance takes on a central role. Through different forms of correspondence exchanging information, drawing closer through various formats such as letters, audios, shared drive folders, images, and calls. The artistic process becomes a connecting thread.
Teresa’s painting repeats rectangles, creating rhythm through simple shapes to generate complexity. An articulation where thought is expressed through form, color, and gesture. In Cristina’s painting, patterns resemble a nest more closely, a rhizomatic construction where something may appear, or perhaps nothing at all; we cannot know, yet each element builds a whole. In both cases, painting emerges as a shared language between them. In this exhibition, the artists invite us to reflect on: How many distances do we encounter within the artistic process? between one painting and another, between two points, between the hand and the brush, between Cris’s body and Teresa’s, between the image and the mind, between Barcelona and Alicante, between desire and possibility, between the act and the instant, between the rectangle and the circle.
