Scenes. Randa Maroufi

Randa Maroufi presents her first solo exhibition in the country with a selection of pieces that cover over a decade of work. The exhibition focuses on the body as a social construction, formed by political, economic and institutional structures. Through films, photographs and installations, the artist explores how bodies are shaped by various factors: bureaucracy, work, borders and public spaces. Between documentary and fiction, her artworks reveal how gestures, movement and body language can construct and produce collective imaginaries. The exhibition offers a perspective of the body as a constructed and conditioned reality, where the presence, movement and way of inhabiting spaces become the result of systems of regulation, control and representation.
