La Barrejada (@labarrejada) is a sum of ingredients, people, languages and stories combined in a mixed soup or stew to create common ground. Over the course of two months, we have run a creative-culinary laboratory in which we view the kitchen as a space for communal thinking and action, an apparatus of processes for joint research and creation. Through the narratives that run through food, the act of cooking and eating together, and various artistic languages deriving from the word, sound, the image and the body, we have generated a space for experimentation and play in which culinary, poetic, visual, performing and audio actions have transpired while we explore a number of analytical questions.
