FANTASTIC PLANET. El planeta salvatge. Joan Pallé

Joan Pallé, visual artist and co-founder and co-director of the independent space Malpaís, located in Barcelona’s Zona Franca district, presents his third solo exhibition at ADN Galeria.

The exhibition brings together a group of small-scale sculptures that draw on the codes of maquettes and figurative sculpture to explore their narrative potential, alongside works on paper in which references to graphic design, poster art and infographics take on a more expressive and gestural register. Through this reworking of codes, techniques and languages, the artist develops a freer and more intuitive practice that reclaims artisanal authorship and the narrative value of forms, while employing an acerbic sense of humour as a tool for critical thinking, embracing positions of ambiguity and complexity that challenge reductionist readings and binary structures of thought.
