Figuraciones cruzadas
In this exhibition we show the diverse but conceptually aligned practices of Lara Padilla, Alejandro Monge, Juan Luis Jardí and David Moreno. Their works unequivocally demonstrate that contemporary figurative art has evolved profoundly beyond its traditional role of mere representation. Their shared common denominator lies in their strategic and innovative use of the figure – be it the human form, the human face or architectural structures – as a powerful conceptual and emotional vehicle. Through manipulation, abstraction, recontextualisation and symbolism, they delve into profound themes of identity, emotion, existentialism and human connection, transforming the recognisable into the revelatory.
