Photoscriptures. Literature and Photography, 200 Years Later

As part of the Festival Panoràmic, photographers, artists and researchers Valérie Mréjen and Antonio Ansón engage in a dialogue with artist and essayist Joan Fontcuberta and writer Jorge Carrión on the ways in which photography and literature look at, translate and transform one another, two hundred years after the invention of photography.

The event explores the many connections between literature and the visual arts, from reflections on the history of this relationship to contemporary creative practices. The programme includes a lecture and a public conversation and continues the following day with a seminar led by Paco Gómez and Laura C. Vela on the creation and editing of text-image projects.
