“I Don’t Have Enough Hours in the Day” is, today, one of the most recurrent phrases in our hectic lives. This project reflects on how the concept and contemporary use of time have been transformed and how these changes affect us. Faced with the current crisis of time scarcity — paradoxically becoming more limited despite technological advances — the artist proposes recovering symbolic elements of Barcelona’s rural past as spaces for encounter, care, and listening. The work advocates for shared, unproductive time as a way of imagining the future. It creates a space for pause and attentive listening amid the noise and speed of contemporary life. What better use of time than simply watching life go by?
