Hina Vagina — Blanc trencat

Blanc trencat is a performance in which the artist breaks, with a chisel and hammer, the layer of plaster covering her body. As the mask breaks apart, skin and body emerge in a gesture of liberation and transformation.

Hina Vagina (Palau-solità i Plegamans, 1994) is the artistic name of Judit Chulià Orduña, a hybrid artist who articulates her practice through a conception of the body as a space of resistance, wear and transformation. Her work operates within an expanded field encompassing painting, performance, installation and video, through which she examines the frictions between intimacy and exposure, labour precarity and structural exhaustion, as well as the processes through which these dynamics become inscribed in contemporary bodies.
