In Attunement / Stefan Galeanu & Angelica Dochia

This open studio brings together two distinct painting practices that explore how grids, lines, frames and architectural forms shape the act of looking.

Over a month-long residency, the artists have made oil paintings that come together at the threshold, where space, image and viewer interact. Their forms keep shifting through the play of perspectives between the inside and outside of the painting.

Less fixed structures than ways of entering and moving through the work, these elements allow perception to emerge as an embodied relation.
