Opening of the exhibition "La bellota se alegra de convertirse en roble" Carla Nicolás
This Saturday, April 13th, from 11 am to 2 pm, within the AR-DE, we invite you to the opening of “La bellota se alegra de convertirse en roble” the new solo exhibition by the Aragonese artist Carla Nicolás!
The exhibition immerses us in a narrative where womanhood, alchemy, knowledge, and nature converge. In her work, Carla Nicolás (Zaragoza, 1981) reflects on the impact of female domestic labor on capitalism and the persistence of witch hunts. Additionally, she explores the oak as a symbol of freedom and historical stability, as well as copper, a metal associated with Venus in astrology, which becomes an essential part of the creative process.
Each piece reflects an intimate relationship with the land and history, linked to the landscapes of Aragonese nature. Blending tradition and innovation in her creations, Nicolás presents an exhibition that spans photography, drawing, and elements in sculptural form.
Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition this coming Saturday, where the opening will be accompanied by music, vermouth, and the possibility to visit the artists’ studios.
We look forward to seeing you there!
