Juan Perdiguero Trillo, 'Bajar el cielo a la tierra'

BETA Contemporary presents Bajar el cielo a la tierra, a solo exhibition by Juan Perdiguero Trillo (Aranda de Duero, 1996), co-curated by Mana Pinto, marking the artist’s return to the gallery two years after his last exhibition in 2024.

What if paradise were not somewhere beyond this world, but something we could create together?

Starting from this question, the exhibition reflects on leisure, popular culture, and our collective capacity to imagine alternative ways of living. Challenging an existence shaped by productivity, it envisions a world where abundance lies in sharing, caring, and having time to spend with others.

Drawing on a rich visual language rooted in popular, symbolic, and rural references, Perdiguero Trillo highlights the importance of gathering, shared narratives, and collective experiences as spaces from which new utopias can emerge.

Bajar el cielo a la tierra invites us to reconsider paradise not as a distant promise, but as a present possibility, something we build together.

Opening: Thursday, October 29, 19:00 h
