climate justice from the margins with fatima ouassak

A conversation with Fatima Ouassak, focusing on her work as an activist and political scientist and on her efforts around climate justice from the neighborhoods and the struggle for a better world, with an emphasis on the protection of children and anti-racism.

Through this conversation, we aim to explore how we can establish a connection between the issues in our own communities and their margins and other struggles outside our contexts.

How do we understand and bring climate justice from the periphery? How is environmental racism articulated? How do we understand sustainability from a political perspective? How do we relate it to the dehumanization of the children and racialized people who inhabit these territories, and how do these struggles connect to the dehumanization of territories in the Global South?

In this conversation, which we invite you to join, we want to talk with Fatima Ouassak about her contributions to the struggle for an anti-racist ecology, based on her activism in the Paris suburbs. We will attempt to define the challenges and controversies of an anti-racist and political ecology that allows us to imagine and build a world together.
