Fuerte Esperpento - KiKa Super Puta (GREC 15)

Once upon a time, a transvestite had a fort. It was many centuries ago, and in it she resisted sieges from violent tyrants, famine, bubonic plague, two endings of the world and medieval ignorance. Safe within its confines, birds sang Mariah Carey songs, butterflies fluttered, vegetation was lush and cutesy and the people of the time looked to the future with hope while eating as many plantbased partridges as they wanted.

This piece (based on real events) aims to reveal this fascinating chapter in history, unknown to the general public, through the bold, sharp and disruptive eyes of transvestite Kika Super Puta.

Enric (Montcada i Reixac, 1996) is a multidisciplinary artist trained in theatre and graduated in Architecture from the UPC. He has designed sets for local productions (El somni d’una nit d’estiu, La Venganza de Don Mendo, L’Auca del senyor Esteve) and since 2020 has combined architectural practice with transvestism. With his character Kika Super Puta, a grumpy transvestite angry with the world, he has performed in spaces such as El Pride BCN, La Fundació Miró, Vihsibles Festival, APM de TV3, Sala Apolo, Paral·lel 69, Razzmatazz, Cabaret Internet, Teatro Metamorfosis and others. Since 2022 he has been one of the resident artists at the varieties bar La Federica, where he develops monthly shows.
