Kintos. Fermín Sales
Kintos takes the traditional quintos festivities as its starting point to explore the forms of power, belonging, and representation that shape rural communities.
The installation brings together a series of images, sounds, texts, and actions that intervene in the codes of the celebration, displacing them from their usual context and opening them up to new readings. What is repeated year after year appears fragmented, altered, and reconfigured, making visible the tensions embedded in any collective ritual: between cohesion and exclusion, celebration and social norms, memory and change.
Far from a nostalgic or documentary approach, Kintos proposes an experience that invites us to reconsider tradition as a living space, shaped by conflicts, contradictions, and possibilities for transformation.
