⚡︎ Paint Skin. Lorenzo Fernández and Ignacio Iñigo

Lorenzo Fernández and Ignacio Iñigo establish a direct dialogue between two works of identical proportions: a three-dimensional piece and its translation into the pictorial plane. Taking as a starting point a structure built by Iñigo from acrylic paint extracted from its support and folded on itself, Fernández develops a hyperrealistic interpretation that attends to the material and formal qualities of the object.

More than a reproduction, the work activates a reflection on the displacements between presence and image, volume and illusion. Painting here assumes the ability to contain and reformulate that which belongs to the sculptural field, tensioning the boundaries between both languages. The result proposes an attentive look at matter, gesture and transformation processes, inviting the viewer to move between the physical experience of the object and its pictorial representation.
