larga muy lejos del río. Jazmín Giudici, Leire Lacunza Miranda

Tendril that surrounds me, entangles me, and makes me overflow. Your wings emerge from a crust, from an apple I try to pare without pause. I bury my face into a soft surface, aware that I keep tirelessly twisting the twist.

The fine lines of a drawing in my notebook reach out to the verses of a poem, a pop song, a declaration of love etched on the wall of this street. The words of another seep into the murmur of a neck that carries me, that carries all these pearls that speak of you, of me, of us. And a nail placed upon another begins to reveal a face, an apparition.

ladra muy lejos del río is an exhibition that aims to create a dialogue between the artistic practices of Jazmín Giudici (Rosario, 1994) and Leire Lacunza Miranda (Donosti, 1996). In both artists’ work, language and drawing appear as catalytic elements that take shape in the exhibition space through different materialities. Threading, weaving, evoking or hammering are among the gestures they employ, gestures that now intersect here.
