Las nubes no tienen casa. Federica Furbelli

Las nubes no tienen casa is a project by Federica Furbelli (Varese, 1988), in which she investigates and explores the vital landscape through ritual as a contemporary practice of (dis)rooting and reconnection.

Together with curator Jordi Pallarès, the project is structured through a site-specific intervention for the Trafalgar Street space of Escat Gallery. It includes paintings, drawings, sculptures, and other objects, conceiving the exhibition space as a traversable and experiential environment. The works—both large and small in scale—develop landscapes linked to processes of memory and displacement. These are symbolic objects and containers, inhabitable and projected from desire, through which Furbelli proposes her own way of situating herself in space. The processes unfold in extended temporalities, following horizontal and vertical movements in which gesture is transferred to the viewer’s gaze and body.
